A new update appears for users warning them that Microsoft will stop providing security updates to the OS after January 14, 2020, recalling that the software has been in place for 10 years.
According to the technology site "engadget", the updates should start on April 18th and it will be difficult to miss the alert when it arrives, although you may not have the possibility to disable future reminders.
Some reports indicate that Windows 7 accounts for about 40.2% of desktop use, slightly more than Windows 10.
Once formal support is complete, Microsoft provides only consistent security updates to companies who pay for extended support.
Although Windows 10 does not necessarily guarantee protection against security threats, it will at least prevent attacks when solutions have existed for years.
