Egyptian coach Shawki Gharib appealed to Omar Saint-Yassin to play in the current camp in Spain.
"We called several players, including Omar, to test them on Saturday," said the former Egyptian coach.
He added in remarks toFilgoal.com "We will stick to their level and we will agree to join him at camp."
The Olympic team beat the United States 2-0 on Friday during a friendly against the Netherlands on Tuesday.
Egypt is preparing to host the African Under-23 Players Cup, which begins in November.
The first three teams qualify for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
