The Saudi Monetary Agency (SAMA) has issued a circular for banks to prevent customers of bank branches and airport banks from providing a national identity.
The Foundation explained that it was sufficient simply to apply for the passport and boarding ticket and match them to the client's name when performing various banking on behalf of clients.
The exception was for customers traveling only outside the realm.
