The guardian of two holy mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, issued a royal decree on Saturday appointing Mr. Inas Bint Sulaiman Al-Issa as Director of Princess Noura Bint Abdulrahman University.
Dr. Inas Al-Essa was Vice-Dean of King Saud University for Students, Professor in the Department of Health Rehabilitation Sciences at King Saud University, and Consultant in Health Rehabilitation.
Dr. Inas received her Ph.D. in Anatomy and Neuroscience in 2004 from the Dalhousie Medical School in Halifax, Canada, and a Master's degree in Physiotherapy from the same university in 1999 and a Bachelor's degree in Health Rehabilitation from the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences. She has received numerous awards: the Harvard University Research Cooperation Mission in 2008, the 2007 Scientific Excellence Award in Health Care Research from the same university, and the award of Scientific excellence of King Saud University in 1995.
From her practical experience, she was Dean of Science and Medicine (2011-2015) at the University of Nora, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational and Academic Affairs 2010-2014, Advisor to the Director of the University of Nora. Al-Essa chaired the founding team of the National Observatory for Women's Participation in Development – King Saud University, and the composition of the Steering Committee of the National Labor Observatory – Development Fund for Human Resources, Ministry of Labor, and the composition of the Advisory Committee of the Center for Promising Research and Studies on Women – Princess Noura Bint Abdulrahman University, Educational and Academic.
