Xiaomi may have sparked some interest with the new Redmi Series phone line, but the company is determined to continue. The latest technology that the Chinese company wants to bring to its smartphones is the built-in fingerprint sensor. Reports from the XDA Developer Forum revealed that at least three new smartphones with built-in fingerprint sensor were on display, and that two of them had symbolic names suggesting that they would be part of the Android One initiative.
These two phones are probably Xiaomi Mi A3 and Xiaomi Mi A3 Lite. Regarding the identity of the third phone, it is probably the Chinese version of one of the above phones. These three smartphones bear the names "Pyxis", "Bamboo_sprout" and "Cosmos_sprout". All smartphones that are part of the Android One initiative have the following _Sprout names in their symbolic names. The third phone does not have these suffixes, which means that it can be the successor of the Miomi 6X or the Mi Mi 7X.
The inclusion of the fingerprint sensor on the screen is more expensive. Companies such as Vivo, Oppo and Samsung have incorporated this technology to their latest smart phones, which means that the fingerprint sensor built into the Redmi phone's OLED display will soon be available. Currently, the Xiaomi series of high-end phones is the only one to use this technology, in addition to the company's latest BlackShark 2 phone.
