The Minister of Education said that the overall strategic goal of teaching Chinese was to become a third language parallel to the English language and having the same level of horizontal and vertical dispersion in both educational systems. "His inclusion in the various stages of education in the Kingdom stems from the desire to diversify the language tools used in education, and the economic importance of the Chinese language, as well as the strategic importance and represented by the State of China in the present and future world ".
Al-Sheikh pointed to the expansion of the number of students sent to the higher education level to study different disciplines in major Chinese universities, stating that a number of Chinese graduates are considered as assets or semi-usable tools in the implementation of future programs, highlighting the importance of developing an integrated plan. Include and disseminate the teaching of Chinese language in the Kingdom according to the specificities and programs of universities and public education, as well as progressive steps and the horizontal and vertical expansion of these two aspects.
During the meeting, King Saud University reviewed its experience in teaching Chinese language since 2010, during which 35 students working in the fields of foreign affairs, media and the army were graduates.
