The Saudi Interpol arrested a fugitive Egyptian who had been sentenced to death in a murder case in Mahalla district, Gharbia governorate in Egypt, at the request of Egyptian Interpol for his return.
According to the local newspaper "Sabd", the investigation conducted by the Egyptian intelligence services revealed that the defendant had fled to Saudi Arabia before his death sentence for murder in 2016. His arrest was a response to Egyptian demand from Interpol.
The competent authorities began to initiate the necessary legal proceedings against the fugitive.
