CAIRO (Reuters) – The Egyptian football federation has announced Sunday a financial sanction for Zamalek after recent statements by its president, Mourtada Mansour, against referees.

The Egyptian federation fined Zamalek 200,000 Egyptian pounds, in addition to sending his boss Morteza Mansour to the Disciplinary Committee because of his offensive remarks against the referees.

Murtada Mansour recently attacked the referees and committee chairman, Essam Abdel Fattah, because of the team's attachment to Arab entrepreneurs because of poor governance and bad decisions, as he said.
