The processes of technical modernization in Arab agriculture hinder production services and the management of agricultural resources.

Khalifa pointed out that the Arab region suffers from some weaknesses in the internal and external marketing processes, taking into account the legislation of the countries importing Arab agricultural products and providing high quality products with acceptable specifications to support competition in the markets.

The agricultural challenges facing Arab agriculture are the depletion of available agricultural resources and modern and intelligent agricultural development, which translates into an increase in the food deficit in the Arab region due to the lack of agriculture. unfair investment of agricultural resources available in the Arab region, including land and water, and the desertification of agricultural land.

Khalifa revealed that the meetings in Tunisia had revealed other challenges for agriculture in the region, including the weakening of human and institutional capacity, especially technical, for the continuation of modern agricultural development, stressing that the most of the problems and obstacles encountered by national institutions for agricultural research and development as well as agricultural extension and financing services. He pointed out that this required the development of agricultural university teaching and the introduction of new courses in faculties of agriculture, including rural engineering, bioengineering, and the like. environmental engineering, garden engineering and plant surfaces, highlighting the importance of intelligent agriculture and the increase in production and productivity of Arab agriculture.
