This took place on the sidelines of the second press conference on the achievements and activities of the joint Arab labor institutions, currently being held in the Tunisian capital, stressing that the meetings debated the working paper entitled "The development role of the Union of Arab Agricultural Engineers in Agricultural Development.

He pointed out that the Arab region was suffering from the scarcity of water resources and its dependence on the resources of international rivers. The problem of providing the water needed to support and pursue agricultural development and rural Arab world is one of the most important issues for official Arab institutions. Political, institutional, environmental and social issues of global concern as a source of conflict and crisis between riparian states.

The President stressed that the obstacles to Arab agricultural development had been examined, namely the low level of technical modernization of Arab agriculture, especially since studies have shown that many Arab countries are not not able to apply modern technological models due to the lack of provision of application services, investments and credit facilities. Lack of adequate institutional evidence for the transfer, resettlement, adoption and adoption of modern agricultural techniques and technical modernization processes in Arab agriculture, beyond the services production and management of agricultural resources.

He pointed out that the Arab region suffered from certain weaknesses in the internal and external marketing processes, calling for consideration of the legislation of the countries importing Arab agricultural products and for providing products of high quality and acceptable specifications in order to compete in the markets.

He stressed that the challenges facing Arab agriculture are the depletion of natural resources available for agriculture in the face of modern and intelligent agricultural development, which results in an increase in the food deficit in the region. Arab region due to the unfair investment of agricultural resources available in the Arab region, including land and water, and the desertification of agricultural land.

He pointed out that the Tunis meetings had revealed other problems facing agriculture in the region, including insufficient human, institutional and technical capacity building for the continuation of modern agricultural development, stressing that the most of the problems and obstacles encountered by national agricultural research and development and the services provided by agricultural extension and financing were inadequate. He pointed out that this required the development of agricultural university teaching and the introduction of new courses in faculties of agriculture, including rural engineering, bioengineering, engineering engineering. the environment, garden genius and plant surfaces, highlighting the importance of smart agriculture to increase the production and productivity of Arab agriculture, because it is of a production method based on the negative impact of climate change such as agriculture in greenhouses.
