Hector Cooper, the former coach of Egypt, led Uzbekistan to a 2-0 win over China during his China Cup match.
The only goal of Uzbekistan was scored by Eldor Shomorodov in the 35th minute and Uzbekistan finished third in the friendly match.
It was the second consecutive defeat of China against coach Fabio Cannavaro, after the start of his new mission with a loss of the same result in Thailand as part of this quadripartite.
Uruguay will eventually meet Thailand in the final of the friendly Chinese Cup.
