Sandstorms, along parts of the International Coastal Road and Qunfudah Aseer Road, forced drivers to turn on the lights in the late afternoon due to lack of visibility in some areas.
The "previously" monitored a security presence for road safety patrols along the road, especially in Qunfudah governorate and north of al-Muntilif.
Heavy equipment and machinery moved the sand away from the damaged parts of the road.
