Some think that the emergence of silvio stick is related to mobile phones, but it is actually relatively old and dates back to the mid-80s and was invented by Hiroshi Ueda.

Oideh worked in an international photography company, where he invented a long extensible stick and, at the end of one, a camera, originally called the "extended" one that he had used during his family trips.

The stick was made specifically to help create more space behind the photographer and was manufactured in many shapes, types and sizes to try to promote it.

But the Japanese invention was considered a failure, then it did not have the required propagation, until the Canadian inventor Wayne Form developed the stick and began the path of a frantic propagation after the emergence of the cell phones and cameras.

The Silvio stick is now a familiar feature when traveling and is not abandoned by children or adults.
