France and China signed 15 trade agreements worth 40 billion euros during Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Paris, including a huge contract for the purchase of 300 Airbus aircraft in Beijing.
An official of the French presidency confirmed that the amount of the transaction between Airbus and China amounted to about 30 billion euros.
An agreement was also signed between the French company CMA CGM and the Chinese national shipbuilding company, worth 1.2 billion euros, for the construction of 10 cargo ships.
Among the offers, there is also a one billion euro deal between the French Fives and the Chinese National Building Materials Group for cooperation in energy conservation.
In the field of agriculture, France and China agreed to lift the ban imposed by China on the importation of poultry meat from France, which had been imposed as a result of the avian flu epidemic in France.
"Europe must be united and send a consistent message, what we are doing in the area of strategic investments," French President Emmanuel Macaron said at a joint press conference with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping .
France opposes China's ambitious infrastructure plan, "the Road and Road Initiative", which the Chinese president is working on to establish, linking South Asia -Est, China, Central Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
