US recognition of Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights is invalid

Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned in the strongest terms the declaration of recognition of US sovereignty over the sovereignty of Israel on the Golan Heights.
Aboul Gheit said in a statement issued by the General Secretariat of the Arab League: "This is a false statement of form and material, which reflects a situation of exit from international law. a mind and a text that reduce the status of the United States of America in the region and even in the world ".
He stressed that the US statement did not alter the legal status of the Golan Heights, noting that the Golan was a territory occupied by Syria, did not recognize the sovereignty of Israel and any state and that Security Council resolutions had been unanimously adopted to confirm this meaning, including the resolution (497) of 1981 in which he called on Israel not to recognize the annexation of the Syrian Golan by Israel and called on Israel to reverse the decision to annex the Golan Heights.
He added that the legitimization of the occupation is a new trend in American politics and represents a tremendous rebound in the US position, becoming fully compatible with Israeli positions and desires.
He pointed out that the Arabs refused this approach and that, while occupation was a major crime, its legitimacy and technique were not a less serious sin. The force did not create rights and did not have any advantages. International law is not established by any country, regardless of its status, and the occupation lasts a long time. The legitimacy.
The secretary-general of the Arab League said the Arab League strongly supports the Syrian right in its occupied territory, a position that enjoys a clear and complete Arab consensus, and will reflect the decisions of the Tunisian summit next week.
