A country like the United States, the most powerful economy in the world, lags behind in ranking its citizens to 19th place worldwide. A country like China, the second most powerful economy in the world and the fastest growing, is losing its happiness to become the 93rd in the world.
Some Arab countries have become aware of the importance of the level of happiness of their citizens, while states such as the United Arab Emirates have rushed to create a special ministry of happiness, while Saudi Arabia has set up a supreme body of social protection with no less ministerial powers.
In order to measure the happiness of the lost nations, an annual world report is published each year under the title World Happiness Report, a documentary survey that ranks 156 countries in the world.
The report ranks different countries on the basis of six different criteria that promote the well-being of citizens: income, freedom, trust, life expectancy, social support, and state spending.
As always, the Scandinavian countries rank first in international rankings, with the Finnish state ranking first on the international happiness ladder.

The ranks of the Arab countries differed according to the countries with relatively advanced ranks in the world: the United Arab Emirates ranked first among the Arab countries and 21 international countries, followed by Saudi Arabia, which ranked 28th international.
