Jeddah Municipality Secretary Saleh Al-Turki said Jeddah's transport projects would be about buses and the frequency of transport, considering that the "metro" is not suited to the nature of Jeddah at present, because huge groundwater and the high cost of property expropriation.
Al-Turki said during his speech at the "Mecca Economic Forum" that the main axis of development in Jeddah depends on infrastructure and development, adding that the eastern areas of Jeddah will be the priority of development and projects, due to lack of basic services.
He revealed that in the coming period, two tunnels and six bridges will be built to solve the transport problems in Jeddah and a waste management system will be put in place to increase the waste utilization by 20% recycling at 30%.
On another topic, Jeddah's secretary stressed not to allow the projects to fail, saying: "Budgets for past projects were returned to the Ministry of Finance once it had weakened, nowadays. it could not happen, and the fact that the project collapses means that the 2030 vision is degrading.
The second session of the "Mecca Economic Forum" will be held at the Jabal Omar Hilton Hotel of the Holy Capital during the period (March 23-26), with the participation of a number of ministers and ministers. senior officials.
