The Council also approved the establishment of the National Meteorological Center, the National Plant Cover and Desertification Center, the National Environmental Compliance Monitoring Center and the National Wildlife Development Center, in accordance with its regulations. and the plan for the creation of national centers for the environment sector.
The decision ensures that the General Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Protection and the Saudi Wildlife Authority will continue to carry out their tasks until the above-mentioned centers exercise their powers in accordance with relevant provisions of the plan.
This decision was made after considering the comments of the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and after considering the recommendation made in this regard by the Economic and Monetary Affairs Council. development.
