The Saudi Arabian electricity company explained that the electric shock caused to many people, especially when they are approaching metal objects connected to electricity, is due to a defect in the protective earthing system.
The company has shown that the electric shock was due to damage or malfunction, or lack of protection system, because the grounding prevents the high voltage of these objects when a short circuit between the live conductor and earth.
Improper grounding results in electric shock when you touch the metal parts surrounding the connections at or near the electrical building, due to the different voltage on the earth's surface.
The earthing system is defined as an electrical connection between an electrical appliance or a network of appliances, on the one hand, and a block of land, on the other hand, necessary to ensure the Electrical system safety and installation personnel.
