Issam Abdel Fattah, chairman of the referees committee of the Egyptian Football Federation (EFA), denied that Al Ahly sent a letter specifying the specifications of Saturday's match decision.
"That was not the case," Abdul Fattah told FilGoal.com. "Ahli did not oppose the Uzbek candidacy Ravshan Irmatov for the title."
"Al-Ahli did not oppose the appointment of an Asian government of the summit, it is a baseless speech."
Who's leading the summit arbitrarily?
"At the moment, we have not received any answer from Irmatov," said Abdel Fattah, "We are still waiting for his response with parallel attempts to get a good jury from Europe."
Irmatov is one of the world's elite leaders: he has received the award for the best referee in Asia five times, the last in 2014, and the GlobeSoccer award for the best referee in the world in 2015.
Uzbekistan have played five games in the last Asian Cup, including the final between Japan and Qatar.
Irmatov also led two matches at the 2018 World Cup, bringing together Argentina, Croatia, Spain and Morocco.
