DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Egyptian actor Amr Waked launched a violent attack on the Union of Egyptian Representatives after his name and colleague, Khalid Abul-Naga, were removed from office.

The Egyptian actor had published a previous tweet in which he said: "Union of political professions", he said.

The Egyptian media issued a statement from the union claiming that the withdrawal of the name of Wakid and Abu al-Naga was due to "the great betrayal of the motherland and the Egyptian people", and indicated that they had "extinguish" forces outside the will of the people.

In turn, Abu Naga republished a tweet containing the same statement on his official Twitter page and republished some of his supporters' posts after the decision.

The two representatives took a position in rejecting the constitutional amendments to Egypt and met with a number of US officials in this regard.
