The US Department of Energy has approved six permits for US companies seeking nuclear activities related to Saudi Arabia, according to sources close to these permits.

In detail, the US "Daily Daily Best" newspaper states that the federal law requires US companies exporting nuclear technology, or involved in the production or development of special nuclear material, to obtain the approval of the Ministry. of United States Energy.

According to the report, the ministry licenses companies under the law known as "810" and contains strict federal provisions and regulations relating to nuclear technology.

He added that it was still unclear to what extent the US government and companies had reached Riyadh regarding nuclear energy.

Senior White House officials are supporting the sale of nuclear technology in Riyadh, which is seeking to build at least two nuclear power plants and is in talks with the United States on the import of nuclear technology. US administration officials point out that if Washington does not help Saudi Arabia in the field of nuclear technology, it will turn to another country.

The US Secretary of Energy, Rick Perry, said last December that Saudi Arabia was interested in concluding a civil nuclear cooperation agreement with Washington, which would allow US companies to participate to the kingdom's civilian nuclear program.

Saudi energy minister Khalid al-Faleh said Riyadh has invited US companies to develop its atomic energy program.
