The Russian truck manufacturer Kamaz decided to rescue the Sollers workers after their closure and to suspend their production in Russia as a result of a drop in sales and a decline in production.
"Kamaz is ready to accept the workers and employees who were fired at Ford," said a spokesman for the Russian government Rostek, Kamaz.
Kamaz is currently in talks with the two executives of these manufacturers to offer job opportunities, based on the skills and specialties of the dismissed workers.
The US automotive giant "Ford" announced Wednesday (March 27th) that it would definitely leave the Russian car market.
Ford has decided to withdraw from all its projects in Russia and abandon its cars due to weak sales and low production.
Ford has been facing economic problems not only in Russia but also worldwide, for example by planning to lay off 5,000 workers in Germany.
