Arab League Secretary-General Hossam Zaki said on Thursday that permanent delegates agreed on Wednesday to finalize a draft proposal from Saudi Arabia aimed at merging the two development summits and regular summits with a few checks.
In a statement to the press preparing for the Arab summit in Tunis, Hossam Zaki said the implementation of this decision would be followed by the fifth session of the Arab Economic Summit to be held in Mauritania in 2023.
Hossam Zaki said that the secretary general of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Abul-Gheit, will prepare a draft circular for the convening of the summit, which will be adopted by the Foreign Ministers and will thus constitute the format of the meeting. an annual summit and a four-year development summit.
