The Mecca region increased by 2.88%, with a total of 896,168 households, an increase of 25,079 new households, while Riyadh recorded an increase of 2.5% and a total of 850,419 families. an increase of 20,749 new households.
The bulletin reported an increase in the percentage of Saudi households living in housing held at 60.49% in mid-2018, along with a decrease in the number of Saudi households living in rental housing, to 37.63% during the same period.
The Mecca region saw an increase in the number of Saudi households living in 531,487 housing units in mid-2018 compared with 511,285 in 2017, with a growth rate of 3.9%. In Riyadh, it rose from 464,876 housing units In 2017, to 478,147 in the middle of 2018, a growth rate of 2.8%, while in the East, went from 242,902 in 2017 to 252,003 in mid-2018, a growth rate of 3.7%.
