Huawei may have unveiled the Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro phones a few days ago, but the company is already working on the Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro models.

This has been confirmed by a manager of the company's subsidiary in Malaysia at a press conference today. He pointed out that the Huawei Mate 30 phone was already being tested at Huawei. The Huawei Mate Series 30 will be launched in September or October, according to the same CEO.

Huawei Mate 30 and Huawei Mate 30 Pro are expected to arrive with the HiSilicon Kirin 985 processor, which will likely be the first processor to be manufactured using 7nm EUV technology, which contributes to a higher transistor density of 20%. Compared to the HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor currently used in Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei P30, the new HiSilicon Kirin 985 processor will have a higher frequency for better performance, but will also use the same architecture in the processor and graphics processor. Since 2019, the HiSilicon Kirin 985 processor should be equipped with a built-in 5G V5 modem.

Back in January, Huawei patented the next Huawei Mate 30 Pro phone cover. What is striking about this protective case is the size of the camera window. It comes with the same screen of the camera window as the current Huawei Mate 20 Pro phone, but it is longer. So, this suggests that Huawei is more likely to provide more cameras to the back of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro.
