Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri said Egypt had assured the US administration that its decision on the Golan was "invalid" and that it was about 39, an Arab land occupied by Israel.

Regarding the Palestinian question, he said that "it would continue to be the central issue of the Arab world". He stressed that all Arab countries supported the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people during the establishment of their state on the 1967 borders and Jerusalem as their capital.
Egypt has for the first time responded to the US President Donald Trump's intention to recognize Israel's sovereignty over the Syrian Golan, explaining that its position was consistent and consistent with decisions of international legitimacy.
