Hyundai has decided to work on projects to introduce a new "digital key" technology into some future models starting this year, which helps to solve the problem of losing the car key.
The technology allows users to download the digital key as an app, allowing each car to have four certified devices, according to Car Keys.
The system operates using highly secure NFC technology, with antennas installed in the front door handles and on a wireless charging plate inside the vehicle.
Users unlock the car by bringing a certified smart phone near the door, then start it by placing it on the charge card and pressing the Start or Stop button.
The vehicle can also identify the preferred settings for each user, such as the position of the mirror, seat and steering wheel, as well as the controls of the audio, video and navigation systems, as well as the display of overhead.
