Scientists have created the first artificial pancreas to calculate the amount of insulin needed by people with diabetes.
An Australian medical society has invented the pancreas in collaboration with scientists from the University of Queensland.
The device uses the technology of artificial antibodies, which allows, for example, to calculate the insulin dose needed for each diabetic patient, based on the blood sugar level, while ensuring stability, according to the website. Russia Today ".
The innovators confirmed that they hoped that this device would give the best results in the treatment of diabetes compared to previous devices and methods.
It is interesting to note that the innovators have been granted a patent not only to use their device to treat diabetes, but also to use it in aircraft engines to determine which component threatens to destroy the engine, which will greatly contribute to increase flight safety.
