In an "unprecedented" report, Italian surgeon Sergio Canaviro, in collaboration with Chinese researcher Jaoping Ren, released a study Wednesday indicating that he had been able to treat spinal cord lesions in monkeys and the dog.
According to research articles published in the journal "Surgical Neurology International", the animals managed to walk again after having cut their spinal cord and repaired successfully.
Both parties stressed that the latest results announced the possibility of conducting experiments on humans.
