The secretary of the Holy City, the engineer Mohammed Al-Quweiss, said that the Secretariat had canceled work related to his project of building a tower containing several services on the ruins of his headquarters located in the Al-Maabda district.
"The project is finished and Amana Tower does not exist," he said.
Three years ago, the Secretariat proposed the construction and investment of a 100-story Mecca tower, including residential, commercial, hotel and administrative towers, and was to become the third skyscraper of the world.
