In his speech at the opening of the 30th Arab Summit in Tunis, Al-Serraj stressed that the crisis in Libya was aggravated by regional and international foreign interference, which "encouraged some parties not to follow the democratic path and to move away from a peaceful political solution ".

He stressed that the Presidential Council of the Government of National Reconciliation was continuing its efforts to get out of the current crisis and to find a real national consensus by organizing several meetings with all the Libyan parties. .

He stressed that peaceful solutions guarantee the construction of a civil state and does not reproduce the totalitarian regime nor allows the militarization of the state.He expressed the hope that at the national conference will be held in April under the auspices of the United Nations, a compromise will be found to get the country out of the current crisis State institutions and the holding of presidential and legislative elections on a solid constitutional basis.

Al-Sarraj called on Arab countries to support the Al-Wifaq government's efforts in the economic and security fields and to contribute to the activation of the construction of military and security institutions and their associated bodies in order to contribute to the security situation and stability.

On the other hand, he reiterated his country's support to the Palestinian people in their struggle to assert their rights and to respect the Arab peace initiative, which approved the creation of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as capital and rejected any change in the legal status of Jerusalem.

Libya's rejection of the US government's recent decision to recognize the sovereignty of the Israeli occupation of the Golan Heights, he said, is a violation of international law, UN resolutions and the Arab peace initiative.
