Egyptian star Mohamed Salah fired shots in response to critics of his absence from the record.
Mohammed Salah kicked in the 90th minute when the Reds beat Tottenham 2-1, leaving Ridds hope to win the title.
"Yes, I have not scored goals in some games but some have scored the same number of goals and some say that they are in the best seasons of their lives," said Salah after the match.
"Nobody talks about three or four players and some say they're in their best season," he said.
"I want to win the English Premier League and it's the most important thing for me and I do not care about anything else."
Salah has scored 17 Premier League goals this season, tied with Harry Keane (Tottenham), Pierre Emeric Obamyang (Arsenal) and Sadio Mani (Liverpool).
