"The automated monitoring of seat belts and the use of hand-held mobile phones will begin after seven days in the Najran area," she said in a tweet on her Twitter account.
The traffic control system stipulates that the use of a mobile phone or safety belt during the driver's driving imposes a minimum fine of 150 riyals per offense and 300 riyals in case of non-payment in the month following the recording of the violation.
