Vaccine against influenza

Events of the day – Scientists at the Victor Center for Virology and Biotechnology at the Novosibirsk University in Russia have invented a "live" vaccine against the flu virus.

The Victor lab is about to complete the final treatment of the live vaccine, which fights the flu virus. This is very important because the vaccine is produced from living cells only and does not use any component of chicken eggs, as in the currently used vaccines.

The vaccine is safer in terms of immunity and longer impact, with an effect period of 5 years instead of one or two years of normal serum.

The Victor Center for Viruses and Biotechnology was established in 1974. This center specializes in the preparation of drugs used in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. The Center's experts have specially prepared vaccines against pork, HIV and Ebola.
