The Arab League is considering the implementation of the initiative of integration of tourism and cultural and cultural heritage

The League of Arab States will hold Wednesday the meeting of an Arab working group chaired by Saudi Arabia to implement the initiative "Integration of Tourism and Cultural and Cultural Heritage in Arab Countries" .

The General Secretariat of the Arab League said in a statement Tuesday that the initiative aims to activate and strengthen the joint work of the tourism and culture sectors in the Arab countries and to make tourism an essential engine of the definition of heritage. in the Arab world and a key pillar of its preservation, investment and development.

The meeting is part of the implementation of the decisions of the Arab Summit for Economic and Social Development of its fourth session held in January 2019 and the joint meeting of Ministers of Tourism and Culture Ministers of the Arab States held in December 2018 on the approval of the initiative.

The action plan that will be elaborated by the meeting includes several axes: First: to develop the contribution of the tourism and culture sectors in support of national economies, ii) to promote the national identity in the field of heritage Arab cultural heritage, iii) training, education and human resource development, iv) tourism and cultural marketing at the Arab level.

The fifth axis concerns regulations and legislation, the sixth focuses on joint action at the level of Arab cultural tourism and the seventh focuses on the sustainability of cultural and heritage tourism sites.
