A 14-member Saudi high-level delegation discussed with Pakistani counterparts preparations for the inclusion of Pakistan in the "Road to Mecca" project.
According to the Pakistani news agency, as part of the "Road to Mecca" project, Pakistani pilgrims will carry out all legal procedures from Pakistan and travel to Saudi Arabia as an internal trip. They will provide maximum facilities for the pilgrims and deliver their goods directly to their residence.
The Saudi delegation reviewed the preparations for the Pakistani side and the two sides agreed to provide the best services, without problems, to train pilgrims to the rituals of the pilgrimage and to inform them of the laws of Saudi Arabia and the need to cooperate in the performance of duty in an environment free of difficulties.
The Saudi delegation will travel to Islamabad International Airport on Wednesday to discuss the steps being taken to put an end to legal procedures governing pilgrim travel.
It should be noted that 184,000 Pakistanis will demonstrate this year after the increase in the number of pilgrims to Pakistan in 2019.
