NASA director James Brydenstein said the agency was looking to bring down one astronaut on the moon by 2024.

In a speech to staff at NASA's headquarters in Washington, the agency's director did not rule out that the moon capsule crew had two astronauts instead of one.

The end goal of the project is limited to the return of the United States to the moon, said Brydenstein. The lunar gate, a lunar orbital station, will be a means to carry out this mission. The station should become a permanent center of control and maintenance of lunar capsules landing on the moon.

The director of NASA said he preferred to have the idea of ​​landing two or more crews at both ends of the moon, both bright and dark.

US Vice President Mike Pines previously announced that the first man or woman to land on the moon would be American, pointing out that the Moon's orbital entry gate would not resemble the progressively built International Space Station. He said the goal of the station was to shoot an American astronaut on the moon as soon as possible.

At a symposium held last February at NASA headquarters, Brydenstein said that the US lunar project would include not only the Lunar footbridge, but also a space infrastructure connecting the Earth to its moon and inhabited resorts on the moon. The project will be sent to each country wishing to participate in its implementation.
