Obesity and alcohol lead to breast cancer

LONDON (Reuters) – According to a study by Australian scientists, obesity and excessive consumption of alcohol increase the risk of breast cancer.

According to the International Journal of Cancer, scientists have collected and analyzed six research data, involving 200,000 women, to identify cases of preventable diseases and preventative solutions.

Scientists have discovered that being overweight and drinking too much is one of the leading causes of breast cancer.

"We found that the proportion of obesity was highest among breast cancer cases over the next 10 years, with 17,500 cases, or 13% of all potential infections," said Marit Laxson.

Laxoneen added that the share of alcohol would be 7%, noting that the incidence of breast cancer among women participating in the studies was a result of hormone use for more than five years after menopause.
