Al-Jarfani is to sign his latest poetry "Heaven & # 39; s Hearts" on Thursday night in Cairo.
The signing ceremony will be held in cooperation with the Bahia Hospital for Treatment and Control of Breast Cancer in honor of Dr. Sabano, International Doctor Iman Mustafa.
He grew up in the city of Dammam, where he arrived with his family in early 1961 and remained there until the age of 15. This development may have had an impact on the literary and cultural heritage of the Persian Gulf, influenced by poetry and the arts. He began reading poetry very early and made several contributions to school radio and school newspapers, which expressed his literary tendencies.
In his interview with Sputnik, Al-Gharfani spoke about his new library, the reality of Arab literature and the writer in Saudi Arabia and the Arab world, as well as the question that he describes as his "first case", the Saudi woman, highlighting her suffering and her demands.
Tell us about your new "cheeks of paradise" first? What is the story behind the label?
"The cheeks of heaven" is the companion of heaven. Every believer is the one who is closest to all the values and messages of heavenly revelation, of all religions and of love. The sky comes only from the beautiful, the poet is inspired by the revelation of the poems as the heavenly revelation that descended on the prophets.
I wanted to emphasize from this projection that the poet is closer to heaven and inspired by the sky, whether in religion, morality, values or love.
The topics of Deoney deal with all the existing problems, my main and fundamental problems, women, because I change the reality of women's survival in the shadows to their shadow.
I demand a positive rebellion to be an active member of Arab societies and to be more effective and avant-garde.
I think that the problems of women we are suffering in the Arab world are inherited: the inheritances must not remain as they are, we must preserve their good and get rid of what is incompatible with our time.
There are also the problems of the Arab street, as a poet, I worry about what is happening in the Arab street. So I touch all the problems. There are also philosophical poems in which I tried to extrapolate what was going to happen.
As well as the future-looking poems – the future ahead of us – in light of the changes that occur in politics, the economy or society as a whole.
In light of the changes taking place in Saudi Arabia and the region starting with conflict and technological development and social networking sites, how do you see the reality of Arab literature in Saudi Arabia and the Arab world? in general?
I think that the means of communication and the new age in which we live have greatly facilitated the arrival of the Arabic voice and the Arab writer.
The Arab writer today faces a daunting challenge: if he does not deal with social media, he is an illiterate, language is today the language of the time and the language Communication is the true language between the writer and the reader, no writer exists in social media.
Today, the writer must be close to all societies and he has the opportunity to express his voice more freely than the sergeant system in the Arab countries and the regimes that were practiced on him. Social networks shave and shave him and he is responsible for his comments.
Today, we can not find a coherent thought of the ideas of yesterday, because the age changes and renews itself, we are facing the globalization of youth. Today's youth is the foundation of Arab society as a whole and is the most capable of change. Today, all Arab regimes, unless they enjoy youth, will be forgotten.
I think that many Arab regimes, including Saudi Arabia, have understood the importance of youth. That's why I made a lot of changes, and the era has moved to modernity, which has come a long way.
To mention the "means of communication", we have found today new trends, such as popular songs, a vast path to the public according to the standards of the new world, although many critics do not consider this art and the consider it "banal", how do you see it? Is its massive diffusion a measure of its success? Is there competition between you and this newcomer?
The fact is that the competition is not at the rendezvous, they are bubbles and, on the way back, many songs were very popular, but their age is over. I think that if a solid foundation is not established, it will not yield positive results.
On the other hand, the Arab intellectual must deal with the tools and language of the present age and establish a thought to the measure of the new generation, but without being dragged to the level of vulgarity, but rises in the existing language.
We must look at the influential work and not the work affected. Communication sites have created stars for people who do not have real stars. This celebrity looks more like a France, just a trance, but that does not mean that rejecting it is of course a reality.
I repeat that these are just water bubbles and only those who can develop and establish a message of collective or real contact with society will continue.
At the beginning of the dialogue, I told myself that "women are my cause and my first message", how do you see the social changes in Saudi Arabia, especially with regard to women?
In Saudi Arabia, women are not far removed from Russian or Western women: in the last 30 years they have lived and traveled in many cultures, and our respect for inheritance may have contributed to certain restrictions. imposed on Saudi women. Interface, that's what I asked.
I call for the appearance of women as they should be, so that they are active members of society, but all societies reject vulgarity, even if we are balanced: there should be no male or female society, but a balance.
Now, I think that women in Saudi society deserve the true role in which they appear. This contributes to the development of the new Saudi state and predicts the status of the young Saudi man as long as efficiency exists. There are Saudi skills that transcend the country's borders for the world, and we must support and respect them.
With regard to the recent changes, completed by the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, there are still stages of change that can shock conservative societies, whether in Russia, America or in any country. Saudi Arabia is a very natural, very natural and age-compatible change, and we should not reject this change as long as it coexists properly with the times and the world.
Does your request to Saudi women to rebel remain after these changes? And what is your vision of the status of Saudi women, for example, do you think it will one day reach the European model?
Yes, I still demand women's rebellion, but the positive rebellion, I affirm the positive, the rebellion is a double-edged sword, there is a negative rebellion and a positive rebellion to be present and active . The negative is out of the text, I am against the text but I am with positive saying that I am here and that I am a partner in the community, I love what my mother and sister have a role in the society.
Let me tell you that the Saudi woman has her own personality and her own culture. I therefore think that Saudi women will keep the Saudi woman in all their personality and that the European model will remain European and East-Eastern. We will remain our identity, active in our societies without being left behind by the West.
Today, society and the regimes that guarantee freedom and human rights, whether male or female, are changing rapidly. This change in Saudi Arabia is now and to all needs;
We must not look at negative bubbles and let the impact of the changes be felt. Change is an outcome and a future, so we must manage it in accordance with our values, such as what women in Egypt have been able to change themselves, like all Arab countries. The woman who was able to change did so with the same identity and did not change the identity of the West.
Specifically, how do you view the demands of the state's fall for Saudi women?
Personally, I believe that religion guarantees women their freedom and mandate, as well as the systems that existed before, that followed the customs and traditions, and the time has come to change proportionately.
I therefore ask to study any legal system that does not correspond to our time, it must be taught for the better, because the mandate within the limits of religion is very acceptable to us. But what tradition has created has made it more restrictive than religion.
I think the current situation will be better both in the state and elsewhere. We must make the difference between religion and social heritage, religion that we preserve. His current state is not religion but the social inheritance, social constraints.
I think that not only women who ask for it, but that every rational man calls to correct the situation, and I, as a poet, demand that the situation be corrected in accordance with the dignity of the woman, not the customs and traditions .
Are there limits or red lines imposed on intellectuals in Saudi Arabia and how do you see freedom of expression in the Kingdom?
I think that all the changes that occur in the Kingdom, especially social networks, have changed many concepts and red lines. Today, every writer is honest about his idea and what society affects. You first comment on what you write, so what you write pleases and honors you.
But if you're looking for a starry and famous reputation, you're coming out of the text in a way that's not suitable for an educated person. Today, the Saudi writer finds no objection or red line as long as he respects the thought and respects his name. And can provide a different opinion and not the offender.
I would like to point out that the poet is still groping for wounds, writes sores and has to face many confrontations with different opinion that is different or contrary to change. It's normal. Vtbali, any opposition and found that it was in the interest of text and subtraction, and I call "blow dust devils" on the shelves. The suffering suffered bleeding, not healing.
Why did you make Cairo a station to sign your office? What is the purpose of linking your signature to permanent exhibitions of various artists?
Cairo is first and foremost a cultural platform and an important platform in this regard. I start my books in Beirut, Cairo, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Paris, Jordan and Syria. I moved from capital to capital, so I met readers who know and follow Ibrahim. It is also an attempt to propagate thought.
Women artists have given me the opportunity to express the problems of women through the medium of art. Poetry and visual art are two facets of creativity: they depend on the imagination and the imagination, both in letters and in color.
As a women's champion, I have to introduce women so that they can express themselves, and as the oldest man in the woman, it's to give a balance. . And complementary to the message.
On the humanitarian side, the signing of your new office in cooperation with the Bahia Hospital for the treatment and control of breast cancer, what is the purpose of this activity?
As a poet, I want to interact with my community and look for its issues: the presence of a big party – a cultural and artistic festival – and the presence of a large audience during the ceremony offers an opportunity to raise awareness in the community about this dear group has cancer.
Moreover, from the humanitarian principle that he has followed during these events, everyone has the opportunity to provide what he provides to these community institutions so that we can create an interdependent society. We all call for social solidarity.
