Google launched a new feature Wednesday for its spokesperson, but with celebrity voices, and began with the voice of the famous singer John Legend.
John Legend has been elected one of six realistic voices on which Google has been working since 2018, in order to meet users on weather conditions, dates and other items.
The company announced the launch of the Wavenet project, which relies on artificial intelligence to produce more realistic sounds by sampling human speech and directly modeling audio formats.
Sundar Bechai, Google CEO, said: "WaveNet has allowed us to reduce the time required to produce votes."
To activate the legend voice, users can say "Hello Google", or "Speak as a legend" or by going to the voice settings.
This feature is currently available only in English in the United States. This is just the beginning. Google aspires to add more celebrity voices in multiple languages.
