Google launches the launch of the Smart Reservations feature for all Android and iOS devices

Google confirmed that it had already begun to deploy the Google Assistant feature based on artificial intelligence to make restaurant reservations over the phone, "Duplex" in English to more Android devices and IOS across the United States.

During the demonstration at the Google I / O Developer Conference in May 2018, Duplex was able to imitate human speech so much that it instantly raised ethical questions about what point a robot had to look like a human. This should be disclosed to the person at the other end of the line. Some also questioned whether Google's offer was an empirical advantage that could not be launched on the ground. If this happens, how long will it take to become a real producer, and this has already been done quickly.

Just months after its unveiling, Duplex has been transferred to public testing in major markets such as New York and San Francisco. Less than a year later, it was launched directly to owners of Google Pixel 3 phones in 43 states.

Google confirmed to TechCrunch that it had launched last week the Duplex feature for all Android 5.0 and higher operating systems, as well as for Apple's iOS devices.

Although Duplex can make other types of reservations, it currently focuses on restaurant reservations. For restaurants that already use the online booking service in partnership with Google, the assistant will work directly with Reserve to confirm the reservation.
