Launch of the first joint meeting of Arab Ministers of Water and Agriculture at the Arab League

The first joint meeting of Arab Ministers of Water and Agriculture was held on Thursday morning at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, in the presence of the relevant ministers and their representatives in the Arab countries and with the participation of Ambassador Kamal Hassan Ali, Under-Secretary-General for Economic Affairs of the League of Arab States.

The Egyptian delegation was led by the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Mr. Mohamed Abdel-Ati, responsible for agriculture and land reclamation, Mr. Ezzeddin Abusett.

The meeting will address two of the most important challenges facing the Arab region: food security and water security.

The meeting will also discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in water and agriculture between Arab countries.
