The African Football Confederation (CAF) is preparing to change the ranking of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAF) next summer in Egypt.
A week before the tournament, CAF officials decided to cut points for each team's World Cup qualifying and FIFA qualifying rankings in March in order to rank the teams in the standings.

Then, the production of each team is multiplied by 2 for the 2019 qualifications, one for the 2017 qualifications and half for the 2015 qualifications.
In the same way, the CAF must be registered Thursday in the FIFA rankings of March.
