Born in the "Algerian liberation revolution"

Said Bouteflika was born in 1958 in Oujda, Morocco, of the youngest brother of the president, Abdul Ghani, Abdel Rahim and Said.

Its birth goes back to the Algerian liberation revolution, at the beginning of the rise of his brother Abdel Aziz, 20 years old.

His father died at the age of one year. His mother was raised by his brother Abdulaziz. She studied until the country's university and graduated from Bab Al-Zuwar University. In 1983, he moved to Paris to continue his studies.

"Happy" in the presidential palace

In 1999, after the election of his brother to the presidency of Algeria, the latter appointed him special advisor for an unpublished decision and was officially assigned to the information systems of the Presidency.

He led two election campaigns for his brother in 2004 and 2008, and the political class started a "very likely" successor.

In 2005, Abdelaziz Bouteflika entered a hospital in Paris to treat an ulcer, forcing him to slow down his work in the country, which strengthened the role and importance of Said. According to one of the nomads of Almorida Palace in an interview with the French newspaper "John Africa", who said:

"It is the agenda of the president who interferes with the appointment of ministers, diplomats, governors, directors of public institutions and intervenes behind the scenes of the FLN, so that it becomes irreplaceable to join President Bouteflika.

It began to increase in April 2013 with the announcement of the President's injury. Since then, he has begun to appear and seems to be playing a leading role on the political scene.

"Named the sultan and the de facto ruler"

Algerian local media reported that Bouteflika's advisor was the country's true leader, and the newspapers described it as "the eye of the Sultan".

While his opponents said: The advisor is more than a consultant, he gives orders to run the country, thus becoming the guardian of the Algerian president, as described in the British newspaper "Financial Times".

New Dawn party leader Tahir Ben Bouibesh said that in the absence of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika from the scene because of his illness, the public was convinced that Said was the de facto leader.

"Said was present in all major affairs next to his brother, who had been stuck by the disease until it appeared that decisions made in the name of the President of the Republic came from the younger brother.

It is reported in Algerian circles that Bouteflika is the link between the presidency and his circle of entrepreneurs, the first of which is Ali Haddad, who devotes parties to the president's election campaigns.
