Microsoft makes big changes to Windows

Microsoft has made significant changes to the way feature updates are applied to the Windows 10 operating system from Windows 10 May 2019. The company plans to start offering the laboratory update next week, before it is widely available at the end of May.

The update brings a number of features, such as a new lighting mode, support for the Japanese Kaomoji emoticons, the Windows sandbox feature and the separation of its audio assistant Cortana from Windows Search.

Microsoft also allows home and business users of its Home and Pro operating system to discontinue functionality and monthly updates for up to 35 days.

The company explained that it would send an alert stating that the update is available and recommended based on its data, but that it is largely up to the user to initiate the update .

All customers now have the option to choose whether they want to update their devices when looking for updates or temporarily disable them up to 35 days.

It also offers intelligent smart clock functionality that allows the operating system to detect the computer's uptime so that updates are not installed during operation.
