The Israeli newspaper Spice-il announced that a probe conducted by the Birchit probe Thursday (April 4th) was going to bring it back to the moon's orbit for its planned landing for its surface on April 11th.
The company said the maneuver was successful after the probe penetrated an orbit around the moon. The experts described the exercise as the most complicated exercise on the way to the moon.
The Israeli "Birchit" probe, weighing 585 kg, was designed as part of the Google Lunar X Prize contest in Israel to send a probe to the moon.
On February 21, SpaceX, the American company, connected the Israeli probe to the flight to the moon.
If the mission succeeds, Israel will become the fourth to connect its probe to the moon after Russia, the United States and China.
