Ahmed Al-Ahmar, handball player in Zamalek, thanked the fans who helped crowned the African Nations Super Cup after beating Al Ahly 38-35.
"Al-Hamdallah is on the sixth Super in the history of Zamalek," Al-Ahmar wrote via his personal account on the social networking site Twitter. "The team was really good stars and she was also responsible for winning as usual for our big fans."
Prince Mourtada Mansour, general supervisor of football in Zamalek, congratulated the handball team by posting a photo of the president of the White Club on his personal account on the social networking site Instagram.
The Zamalek handball team beat Al Ahly 38-35 in the match between the two teams today in Super Africa on Moroccan territory. Zamalek increased the number of Super Africa championships for the sixth championship, while Ahli stopped at the second tournament.
Zamalek managed to win the African Champions League at Ahly's expense last year after a close two-goal win with a 25-27 win. Al Ahli defeated Al Ittihad in the 25-13 Champions League.
