Proximity sensors are the sensors that we can usually find on our smartphones today. Often, we do not think about this sensor and do not care about it, but when it does not work as expected, it can be boring and that's what some users have discovered with the Galaxy S10. According to some reports, some users seem to think that because of a bug, the proximity sensor of their smartphone is not working properly.
For those unfamiliar with the proximity sensor feature, it is helpful to turn off the phone screen when you place it near your ear when making a call. However, according to users, it works fine in this case, but when it is put in the pocket, it somehow prevents the screen from turning off, which unloads the phone from its battery.
Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any solution to the problem at the moment. Even users who lower the screen sensitivity find that it still does not work. Samsung has not yet formally commented on the problem. Therefore, it is not clear if a hardware or software problem can be resolved by a subsequent update.
We hope that Samsung will be aware of this problem and that it will issue a fix soon, assuming it is a software issue.
