The Australian Formula 3 driver, Alex Pironi, broke a paragraph after a terrible accident at the Italian Grand Prix a week after the death of French Formula 2 driver Antoine Obere in an accident in Belgium.
The 19-year-old rider climbed into his team's Campos Racing on a plastic bump to fly through the air before diving back on the tire wall and barbed wire fence.
Peroni went to the ambulance unaided before specifying his status on his Instagram account.
"I am currently recovering from a fracture in the hospital, I am not sure of the recovery time, but I hope to get back to the car as soon as possible," he said.
The last free trials in Formula 1 have been postponed before the qualification for the repair of the barrier after the accident.
The safety of the Formula 1 racing series is under scrutiny after Saturday's Spa-Francorchamps crash.
Ober died at the age of 22 from a high-speed accident that occurred in the second lap of Saturday's race, when Juan Manuel Correa collided with him while the Frenchman had already left the track.
Correa was in a coma in a London hospital with injuries to the spine and broken legs.
Ober is the first Formula 1 driver to die from Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratsenberger at Imola in 1994.
